Design Challenge:

Controlling the outside light that came into the room without compromising the view to the outside. Block out the lights during movie time

Innovative Solution: 

These sunscreen shades allow for the light to come in, but help control the overall heat that comes into the room all while allowing the occupants of the room to see outside. These motorized shades are integrated into a home automation system. By installing the shades in a staggered formation the shades overlap each other, completely blocking the light that comes into the room.
